Before Your Session
You’ll begin with a brief intake and conversation with your therapist. This is a time to share your goals, concerns, and any areas needing attention. We listen closely and tailor your session to what your body needs that day — not a preset routine.
During Your Session
Your session is guided by the Burnt Oak Approach: we work with your body, not against it. Touch is intentional, responsive, and respectful of your nervous system and physical boundaries.
Whether your session is deeply relaxing or more therapeutic, pressure and techniques are always adjusted to support your body’s natural healing processes. We encourage open communication throughout — your feedback helps us ensure the experience remains comfortable and effective.
For prenatal and postnatal sessions, specialized positioning and supportive bolstering are used to ensure safety and comfort for both mother and baby.
After Your Session
Following your session, you may feel relaxed, grounded, and more aware of your body. Some clients notice continued changes over the next day or two as the body integrates the work.
Your therapist may offer simple self-care suggestions, stretches, or hydration guidance to support lasting benefits — never overwhelming, always practical.
